Guided Walk of City Centre Trail

A Guided Walk of Leicester History Trail

Discover more about the highlights of the development of Leicester by joining an informative, architect-led guided walk through the city centre's buildings old and new. Having updated the 40 year old trail, there's plenty more to explore along this fascinating route showcasing a variety of architectural styles.

A local RIBA Chartered Architect, on behalf of the Leicestershire and Rutland Society of Architects, will expertly guide visitors around the "new" plaque locations, plus plenty of the original 1984 spots of interest.

We'll meet at 10 St Nicholas Place - this is the north-western corner of Jubilee Square, at Plaque No 10. We'll take in the Cathedral, High Street, Highcross and the Clock Tower and possibly even along Looseby Lane up to the Knight & Garter, depending on timings.

Please wear clothing appropriate for the weather and suitable footwear for spending two hours on your feet on the pavements and cobbles of Leicester.
